I went to Indiana to see my best friends and family and celebrate my birthday (albeit a little late, but better late than never), so I haven’t done much. However, a week is too long to go without an update.

These first two are paintings I gave to Native for their practice space as sort of a congrats gift on finishing their new album. I also gave them the wide painting that I posted in my last update. These are acrylics on packing paper. Forgive shitty camera phone picture quality. The first one should look familiar, I think I posted the sketch in a previous entry.

Last thing is a watercolor painting I’m doing for a project that I’m apprehensive to talk about until it is all said and done, just in case. I got a water color set for my birthday and I’m real stoked on it, but this is the first thing I’ve done since like high school so it isn’t great; I’m goin to have to take a 2nd shot at this, and likely a 3rd.

New Paintings (not for sale)

Two updates coming today. I’ve been painting a lot since moving back to Grand Rapids. Here are some commission pieces I’ve done as well as personal pieces that I’m not ready to part with. The next update will have prices and dimensions for all the paintings I have for sale, new and old.

I should’ve kept up to date with these, but here are all the paintings, old and new, that are currently for sale.

To purchase, contact vass@ladisputemusic.com with which painting you are interested in.

I have suggested prices listed next to each, but am very willing to haggle/barter/trade. i’d prefer not to have to take paypal but if interested, we can work something out. There are no shipping charges or tax or anything.

Each painting is sold as is, a watercolor painting on watercolor paper with given dimensions, no frame and no clear coat. You are more than welcome to do either of those yourself for longevity.

here are some watercolor paintings i did on the road in the past month. i only brought black ink with me cause i didn’t want to lose or damage my whole set, so everything was gray-scale and a few things had red hints from a pen.
i know i did more than what i’m uploading but these are all the pictures i got and they’re all with my cell phone so they sort of suck.

I have a ton of paintings I’ve made for various projects in an envelope in my room. Yesterday I realized I needed to get rid of a lot of things I was keeping around, and this overflowing envelope caught my eye. Even though a lot of these I’d like to keep, it doesn’t make that much sense to do so. Here is where you come in. Now, there are 26 pieces up for sale as a grab-bag type of thing. For $7.50, you get an original painting, randomly selected by me. Some of them are in color, some black and white, some weird shapes but mostly rectangles, some have been prints or in zines, some will be exclusive to this sale. To match, I’ve got 26 stickers from my personal collection to pair with them, in addition to the usual stickers I include with most orders. This is a pretty killer deal. And if it catches on, I’ll do another round with some other stuff I’ve been hoarding.  In addition to these new pieces, most of my old prints have had their prices reduced so I can make room for some new stuff.
